GOLD AWARD Lexus
For the fifth year in a row, Lexus has taken the top spot. Toyota’s luxury brand has retained its title thanks to impressive reliability – hardly anything ever goes wrong mechanically – and top-quality materials in the cabins.
Lexus owners are not just impressed with the fact that they only make scheduled visits to the dealer, they are also pleased with the service they get. Most owners rate Lexus dealerships as high-quality facilities and the dealers themselves as conscientious and helpful.
On the road, they also seem to enjoy driving their cars, with Lexus scoring consistently well for driver appeal.
Silver Award Skoda
Snapping at Lexus’s heels is Skoda – miles apart in terms of price and prestige, but extremely close when it comes to customer satisfaction.
This is the second year Skoda has taken the silver medal for its ownership experience and the Skoda models in this year’s survey, the Fabia and Octavia, sit in fourth equal place overall.
Skoda owners report relatively few mechanical problems and all rate their cars highly for driver and passenger appeal. The company’s dealers also come out very well in the survey, with owners more than happy with the advice, facilities and customer service they’ve received.
Bronze Award Honda
Honda has risen from its fifth-place showing last year to take the bronze medal in this year’s survey. Four of its cars are among the top 15 models overall, with the Jazz in first place for an impressive second year running.
Honda owners are pleased with their cars’ rock-solid reliability and good build quality. Drivers reserve particular praise for the dealer service that they have experienced, but high servicing and repair costs were the main bugbears.
On the whole, Honda owners rated their cars highly and, with their consistent top 10 positions, we wouldn’t bet against an even more impressive showing from Honda next year.
